The end of 2019 is coming fast, and we at the Fresno State Institute for Media and Public Trust would love it if you would consider an end-of-the-year donation so that we can continue our work to increase media literacy and fight fake news. Your donation is tax deductible.

To contribute online, go to this link:

Fresno State giving.

It is Fresno State’s secure, online donation form. This part is crucial to make sure your donation goes to the correct account. Enter the desired amount, then check “Other” and write in “Institute for Media & Public Trust” and follow the remaining instructions. Let us know if you have any issues in making the online form work.

To send a check, make it out to the Fresno State Foundation. In the memo line, designate the donation is for the Institute for Media and Public Trust. Mail checks to College of Arts & Humanities at Fresno State, Development Office, 2380 E. Keats Ave. M/S MB99, Fresno, CA 93740-8024.

Many of you have been attending our programs on media, ethics and journalism and shared our tips for identifying fake news. You also have followed us as we have made presentations across California. We have big plans for 2020, including a presidential election program and the impact of news coverage on voters.

We are the only Media Institute in this region devoted to this cause, and we need your help to continue. Thank you for your support so far, and consider helping us once more. Our work has received national attention, and we want you to be a part of it.
